Article 8 was created by Daniel Hensel in September 2014 as a way to communicate to the general public complicated issues facing the Supreme Court and other pertinent political problems.
Daniel Hensel, originally from Northbrook, IL, is a junior in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He is planning on studying Political Science with a minor in History. He is the Chief Operations Officer of the DUDE (Detroit Urban Debate Education) club, promoting debate education in underprivileged high schools in the Detroit area. He also sings with the Dicks & Janes, a co-ed a cappella group on campus, and served as its Business Manager for a year before he was elected President. Danny works as a tour guide and an office assistant for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and is the film editor at The Michigan Daily. In the summer of 2016, he worked as the Digital Communications Intern for Issue One, a nonpartisan non-profit advocacy group committed to reduce the influence of money on politics. He enjoys architecture, singing, music, film, biking, and college football.
